Manager/Supervisor
The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Referral Nurse Navigator team. This leadership position ensures all eConsults are properly managed, arranges coverage for all RNN sites, and coordinates with internal teams to maintain exceptional quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, leadership experience, and technological proficiency to this dynamic role.
Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor the RNN team to achieve operational excellence
- Manage staffing, schedules, training, assignments, timesheets, and overall daily operations
- Foster a culture of ownership and accountability within the team
- Collaborate across departments and with clinics to optimize workflows and application functionality
- Establish and maintain best practices throughout the team
- Conduct annual performance reviews for team members
- Provide real-time clinical expertise to the RNN team and other departments
- Hire, direct, and monitor the performance of new RNN team members
Operational Management
- Coordinate coverage for all RNN client sites; manage staff schedules
- Manage workflows, training, and issue resolution across sites
- Monitor RNN sites regularly to ensure smooth operations
- Verify accurate and timely submission of eConsults
- Prepare for and participate in client meetings
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly
- Provide periodic updates on site performance and track data from the RNN team
- Assist with workflow development and implementation for new clients
- Deliver subject matter expertise on applications and EHR systems
- Oversee quality assurance processes and delegate QA responsibilities
- Ensure client satisfaction by analyzing and addressing complaints, concerns, and suggestions
- Optimize workflows and create user-friendly pathways for clients
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
- Active RN license
- 2+ years of experience in the nursing field
- Familiarity with eConsults and referral processes
- Strong technical aptitude
- Experience working in or a multispecialty medical practice/clinic
- Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of leadership experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Experience with VPNs and RDPs
- Experience with multiple EHR systems (NextGen, EPIC, eCW, Cerner, Athena, Intergy)
- Expert understanding of referral workflows
